I need Journal reviews of Theodore Roosevelt's, Treaty of Portsmouth and the Russo-Japanese War. I am specifically looking for what Roosevelt did in the mediation, how the mediation was set up, what type of table, the atmosphere, what did Roosevelt do in order to keep egos at bay and keep them both from walking away from negotiations. I am taking a mediation class and I know that Theodore Roosevelt received the Nobel Peace Prize for his mediation of the Russians and Japanese Powers.
Please see the attached PDF file, "Roosevelt and Portsmouth," for instructions to obtain two journal articles via Interlibrary Loan. Both journal articles were published in the Theodore Roosevelt Association Journal, and only about 50 libraries in the country claim to have subscriptions. Interlibrary Loan can usually acquire copies in three to five days, but it sometimes may take longer.
I also included call numbers for three books in the library that look highly relevant and instructions for searching for articles published in the New York Times during the Portsmouth Conference in 1905.
