Some of the journals you mentioned are now available though an online database called Proquest American Periodicals.  I searched for Harper's Bazar and Ladies Home Journal, and they both appeared there.  If you go the the "All e-journals A-Z" link on our home page (http://unomaha.worldcat.org/openurlresolver/search) you can put in the title of the journal you're looking for and it will show you the range of dates we have access to.

We do still have some journals on paper and microfilm.  19th Century is an example of that - we have it in bound peridicals on the first floor.  You can come in the building to look at them at any time, or access the databases through campus computers whenever you want.  You could also talk to the circulation desk about getting a password which would allow you to do online research from home.  Their number is 554-3206, or you can always speak to someone in person when we're open.
