Q. Is there a resource that indexes past employees of national parks?

There is a listing of public parks officials. http://unomaha.worldcat.org/oclc/24017838 If any of the persons in the photos are park directors they will be listed in this book.

Otherwise, there are a few options you can try. First you can try searching for individual names in HathiTrust http://www.hathitrust.org/. HathiTrust has many government documents in full text, especially the older documents and you might find information about job titles there.

Another option is the US Congressional Serials Set. http://leo.lib.unomaha.edu/login?url=http://infoweb.newsbank.com/?db=SERIAL&s_search=keyword Again try searching by the person's name. You will probably want to put quotes around the names and try both "firstname lastname" and "lastname, firstname."

Finally, there is the Official Register of the United States. We don't have copies here, but the main branch of the Omaha Public Library does. http://omaha.bibliocommons.com/item/show/1212338060_official_register_of_the_united_states You will need to use the register in the library, but you can look up individuals by name and get an abbreviated job title.
