Q. Item cannot be requested

Books can only be requested if they are already checked out. It simply puts you on a wait list for the book. If it says AVAILABLE by the call number, the book can be checked out. However, you will need to come to the library, find the book on the shelf, and bring it to circulation (main desk on the main floor near the doors) to check out.
