Q. Accessing articles currently unavailable on ERIC
To whom it may concern,
This may be a longshot, but I thought I'd ask anyway... As you may or may not know, ERIC is limiting some access to some of its PDF documents over issues involving privacy (see http://www.eric.ed.gov/pdf_availability.html for more information). I've sent ERIC a request to "speed up" its review process on 4 articles that are needed for my EdD research, but unfortunately, ERIC believes it will be approximately 6 weeks before those articles are available.
Is there another way I can get a copy of the articles I'm looking for through another source? Is ERIC the only repository for the records stored there?
Specifically, I'm looking for these four articles: ED451184 (Dappen), ED 451171 (Bruckner), ED453168 (Rippe), and ED520569 (Barnett).
Let me know if you can help me whenever you get a chance. Thank you!
The first three documents (ED 451 184; ED 451 171; ED 453 168) are all available in the library's ERIC microfiche collection, which is filed on the 1st Floor of the library. I just checked to confirm their presence. We have machines to view the microfiche, and pages can be scanned into PDF files. My colleagues who work at the Reference Desk on the 1st Floor can help you find the microfiche and use the machines.
A PDF copy of the fourth document (ED 520 569) is available at the website of the sponsoring agency, the University Council for Educational Administration. The URL is:
