Criss Library does not have an online subscription to Science, but we continue to maintain a print subscription.  The article you noted as an example was published in the March 15, 2013 issue, and I scanned it for this response.

Issues from the current volume of Science are shelved in the Current Periodicals area on the 1st Floor at the call number Q1 .S35. Older volumes are shelved at the same call number in the Bound Periodicals area, also on the 1st Floor.  We also have microfilm and microfiche to fill in gaps, but our holdings altogether extend back to 1895.

Science provides free online access to a few articles, often those the editors designate as Research Articles.  However, most articles fall in the category of Report (such as this one), and are not available without a paid subscription or institutional account.
