If you have not reset your password this semester, you will need to do so by clicking the set/reset link on the login screen. If you have already done so, we are also currently experiencing issues with EBSCO and hope they will be resolved soon (it's been reported, but we do not have an ETA on the fix). On campus access is still an option.

As for group code, that sounds like RefWorks, not Academic Search, and we are also experiencing authentication issues there.
