Jessica,
There are several databases and books that can help you with this research. In the following guide: http://libguides.unomaha.edu/education?hs=a under the tab Locating Databases ...... Use ERIC, PsycInfo, PsycArticles or Communication & Mass Media Complete.
I used the keywords "listening skills and teaching" (without the quotes) and over 3000 articles displayed in ERIC. You can narrow that search by adding the age group you are looking for: elementary, adolescents, teenagers, etc.
If you have other quesions, Melissa Cast, the Education Librarian, can help you: mcast@unomaha.edu
