Hello,
I "requested" the book "Wonder" by RJ Palacio. I have never requested an item before, and it said that it was put "on hold." Does this mean it is being held for me to pick up, or does this mean it is checked out and I am on the waiting list for when it is returned? If it is on hold for me to come pick up, when do I need to pick it up by, and where exactly do I pick it up inside the library?
Thank you!
The book Wonder was already checked out to someone prior to your placing the hold. When they return the book, we will send you an email and hold the book for you to pick it up at the main desk near the library entrance.
It looks like the book isn't due back until April 10. The person who has it now might return it before that date but there are no guarantees. However, if you need it earlier you can request it through interlibrary loan. We will then find another library with the book and ask them to send it to us for you to use. Again, we'd let you know when it arrived via email and you could pick up the book at the main desk. The form for interlibrary loan is at https://unomaha.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/NBU/
You might need to create an account if you haven't used interlibrary loan before.
