Q. Can you help me find some research or help me with wording my searches?
Hi. my name is Stephanie
I am in Rhonda Safterstiens women and politics class, I have to do a literature review but Im having a hard time finding literature on my topic. My thesis is, once women are in the race for office they have equal chances of being elected at their male counterparts.
The landing page includes links to several journal article databases. I recommend starting with Academic Search Complete, with a simple search, something like this:
Before entering the search, click on the "Full Text" and "Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals" filters to limit results to articles immediately available online and published in research journals. You should find several relevant articles without much trouble, and their particular keywords and subjects may help you refine the search further.
The Sage Premier, Wiley, and JSTOR database may also turn up relevant articles.
The word "campaign*" could prove a good search word, but it is used in contexts other than politics; for example, campaign to promote public health concerns.
